“My name is Rodney O’Neal and my journey began with JT’s Cuts Academy when I decided I wanted a career change in 2018. My mother was a barber and I have family members in the beauty industry so for me being a barber was destined. When I initially enrolled at JT’s Cuts Academy they were welcoming, polite and professional. It seemed as if we knew each other for years. The teachers are very knowledgeable and the staff made sure that all of the students had what we needed to be successful not only for class and book work, but we were prepared to be great at being barber stylists. JT’s was not only a school for me but it was more like a family. I am proud and honored to say that I graduated February 2019 from the Academy. I left confident and positive about my bright future as a barber stylist.

“12 months ago, I was working a dead end. I didn’t have much of a vision, no plans or any real life goals. One day, I walked into JT’s Cuts Academy and had questions about an ad I saw that read, “Become a Barber in 10 months.” I walked in a bit skeptical, again not having a vision, but wanting answers. I was soon greeted by Ms. Gloria, who was there to assist me with all my concerns. I left that day feeling positive, motivated and for the first time with a vision! Long story short, here I am 12 months later a certified Barber Stylist with my own chair in a Barbershop tackling my plans and checking off my goals one day at a time. Thank you JT’s Cuts Academy for teaching me everything I know and giving me back my vision! I’m a Barber for Life!”
“It all started with a Haircut before New Years eve at the Jt cuts barber shop while I was getting a hair cut I saw this sign inside the shop (Jt cuts Academy) and I asked Jt some questions about the School and he explained everything ,I went home and I told my wife about it and than she said we’ll go for it and I was like there is now way I can do the school with 2 jobs. So the next day we went just to see the schedule what was like and then boom !!!!there is me signing up for the school. The year went fast very quick wasn’t easy but I made it with the jobs school and 2 kids..but I really wanna thank Ms Gloria Mr Jt ms Michelle for the guidance. Jt cuts academy is Great school that they tread you like a Family each of one of us!!!!!”

So let me start by saying that this school has been more than a school to me. It has been more like a family. From the moment I started, everyone was amazing, from the instructors Ms. Michelle and Mr. French, the dean Mrs. G. to my colleagues in class. I have learned so much as a barber student and continue to learn everyday. Not only are we taught to cut hair, but we are encouraged, motivated and driven to be the best at what we do. No amount of money can buy that level of care and professionalism. If you want to really strive in the Barber/salon or Pro Beauty industry, JT’s Cuts Academy is the place to start.
I’m really happy I came to JT’s Cuts Academy, I really love cutting and styling hair and feel like I learned a lot from the staff and my fellow students. I bought a lot of my tools this week for when I start on the floor cutting hair and doing more in the shop. I feel proud and happy from how far I’ve come since I started this journey, to look back and see where I’m at now, honestly I couldn’t have done it without all of you. There was a lot that challenged me and always had your support every step of the way. Thank you, I just want you guys to know that you mean so much to me. JT’s Cuts Academy has made us better people and better at our new careers.
This academy helps me daily to become a great barber! All of the staff truly cares for all students as well as the clientele that we receive. Very happy to have joined!!! I recommend it to everyone in South FLA.
Went for a full head color, not only was it affordable for a full head of one color, the students were gentle, knowledgeable and willing to learn. I loved being a model for the evening, the teacher was so sweet and the owner was even circling around keeping an eye on the students all evening. The color came out evenly and rich.
Love the hospitality and the vibe. JT’s did a great job with their students. Shout out to Richie, I’m getting loads of compliments. Definitely recommend it. Affordable and professional!

As a new student at JT’s Cuts Academy I couldn’t be any more enthusiastic about joining such a great team of hard working individuals. Everybody’s friendly and always willing to go the extra mile just to make sure that “you” understand exactly what’s being taught. Nobody gets left behind and everybody’s sure to shine!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
While I was there I noticed the trainees and owner were very nice people and we’re practicing their skills on each other. I asked my barber if my wife would come would they do a good job? He said yes! Sure enough my wife went and her hair is amazing. A+
Came here and was so happy. My kids loved it. Felt like a family doing your hair. Will be back for sure with the other family.

Miss Gloria was very friendly. She brightens up the room everywhere she goes. Tony was a great listener and very patient when he cuts hair and JT was an outstanding mentor and coach to his team.
